Silk is a delicate fabric that typically requires special care when cleaned as stains tend to bond to this protein fiber easily. Most of our products can be machine washed, however, some are best washed by hand with mild detergent. For moderate stain removal, wash the entire textile. Dark or unsightly stains should be taken to a dry cleaner. Never bleach or spot treat your textile, as rubbing one area of silk can cause lightening in that spot. A slight run of pigment is common in hand-dyed fabrics.
